Three simulations run in a Sim City 2000 city made using models of real world buildings found on the internet which were created by home users with the "Urban Re-development" add-on for simcity. 
The simulated population is 3 million people and the socio-economic distribution is based on common wetsern urban trends.
Sim city was the original simulation game, giving the user complete control over the design of a city, mitigated by the economic logic dictated by the games code. It's sequel 
Simcity 2000, released in 1994, enhanced the games logic and graphics and added a simulated third dimension: depth.
The "Urban re-development" add-on allowed users to share their cities and building designs, making Simcity 2000 user forums and bulletin boards an early online-community.
