Paths over the longest path across the five largest freehold stations in the LINZ property boundaries directory that are neither public nor Māori land, listed longest to shortest.
LINZ does not publish owners or station names in this data. Tenure comes from title type, legal description and the 2024 LINZ pastoral lease list. Names come from each title's location and published station records. Bluff is the least certain name. Owners were not checked title by title.
Each path is a computer estimate, not a track: the least effort walk between the two furthest apart points of the station, over the LINZ 8m DEM, using Tobler's hiking function. It avoids lakes and very steep ground, but it knows nothing of rivers, bluffs, fences or tracks. Most of this land is private to cross.
Dashed line: the station boundary. Paths may use road or river strips that cut through a station.
