Five cleared settlements in Lisbon and Madrid: bairros de lata of Lisbon and barrios de chabolas of Madrid. The aerial view shows each site today. Outlines are hand-traced and approximate, from 1995 Portuguese (DGT) and 2006 Spanish (PNOA) orthophotos that show the sites before or during clearance. The positions of Las Barranquillas and Bairro do Peixe are inferred, not documented.
Observations: iNaturalist, public records with open coordinates, fetched . Obscured records are left out because their true position is unknown. An empty map means nobody has recorded there, not that nothing lives there. Photos appear only where the observer chose a Creative Commons licence.
